"Helping Hands "

Pictured here is the Henry Whitehead cabin in The Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee in a place called Cades Cove.

This is the only remaining hand cut square log cabin left in The Great Smoky Mountain National Park. The bricks

of the chimney were also hand made on the property and were the first bricks used in Cades Cove. Beforehand,

all chimneys were made from rocks. At the time, this cabin was considered the finest cabin in

Cades Cove. This painting suggests what could happen when neighbors lend a helping hand

to replace a broken wagon wheel.
